- Remedial waterproofing. Apartment owners doing remedial work may choose the waterproofing requirements from either the current NCC or NCC 2025.
- Apartment common areas. NCC 2025 energy efficiency standards will not apply to the common areas of apartment buildings.
- Pattern Book. The NSW Housing Pattern Book mid-rise patterns were released on 24 November 2025.
- New Building Act. The Building (Approvals and Practitioners) Act 2026 has passed and will repeal the Design and Building Practitioners Act. Commencement is by proclamation.
