This one hour CPD course is for Queensland building designers. It covers which edition governs an approval either side of 1 May 2027, which NCC 2025 residential changes reach the Queensland climate zones, what the rebuilt Part F1 asks of balconies, podiums and concrete roofs, and how to use the months before the date.
Description
By the end of this course, you will be able to work out which edition of the National Construction Code governs a Queensland project and defend that answer to a certifier. Queensland adopts NCC 2025 on 1 May 2027 with no dual edition window, so the edition is fixed by the approval rather than by the day the drawing was made. The residential change set is narrower in Queensland than the national coverage suggests, and this course separates the provisions that reach the state from those that stop at climate zone six. Part F1 receives the closest attention, because its rebuilt water management provisions move the fall, the step down and the hob from the screed into the structural slab. Seven months of runway is the practical frame throughout, applied to the specification audit, the detail library and the client conversation.
