Course Content
By the end of this course, you will be able to explain the NCC 2025 documentation and evidence requirements for Class 1 residential projects in Victoria and identify the most common reasons submissions are rejected. You will be able to evaluate evidence of suitability under Part A5 and determine whether documentation is appropriate, complete, and traceable. You will understand how to develop and document Performance Solutions using the A2G2 process, including preparing reports that meet surveyor expectations. You will be able to assess documentation sets against common rejection triggers and apply practical strategies to strengthen compliance submissions. You will also gain the skills to create well structured, surveyor ready documentation that reduces rework, avoids delays, and improves approval outcomes.

PC12 (Building Codes, Standards and Planning Controls) is central because the course focuses on NCC 2025 compliance requirements, evidence of suitability, Performance Solutions, and the documentation standards required for regulatory approval. PC13 (Documentation Processes) is directly relevant as the course teaches how to structure, coordinate, and assemble documentation through project stages to facilitate successful project delivery and approval. PC45 (Quality and Performance Standards) aligns with the detailed examination of evidence of suitability, Part A5 requirements, compliance verification, and ensuring documentation meets required performance and quality benchmarks. PC46 (Project Documentation) is strongly applicable because the course centres on preparing complete, coordinated, and surveyor-ready documentation sets, including Performance Solution reports and supporting evidence. PC16 (Risk Management and Mitigation) is relevant due to the emphasis on identifying rejection triggers, preventing compliance failures, reducing approval risks, and implementing protective documentation practices that minimise project and professional risk. |

The course examines how to prepare and support Performance Solutions, including the development of design briefs, assessment methods, and final reports. It also reviews common causes of assessment delays and rejections, with practical guidance on improving documentation quality and consistency. Real world case studies and pre lodgement review techniques are included to help designers strengthen compliance processes and streamline approvals.
