Course Content
By the end of this course, participants will be able to understand how Bushfire Attack Levels are assessed and apply them to guide compliant material and product selection. They will be able to design and detail buildings to reduce risks from bushfire exposure, including embers, radiant heat, and flame contact. Participants will be capable of identifying critical construction elements and inspecting them for compliance with AS 3959 requirements. They will also be able to review and manage documentation such as evidence of suitability to support certification. In addition, they will be able to coordinate effectively with certifiers and project teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and well-documented project outcomes.
Learning Outcomes
This ensures that CPD efforts align with professional regulatory requirements.

What’s Included
This course examines the key factors that influence bushfire risk in the built environment and how these risks translate into specific construction requirements. It explores the relationship between site conditions and regulatory frameworks, focusing on how standards are applied in real project scenarios. The content looks closely at building envelope performance, including how different systems respond under bushfire exposure. It also reviews common compliance issues that arise during design and construction and how they can be prevented. In addition, the course considers the role of documentation, communication, and coordination in achieving successful approval outcomes.
