A taste of what’s in it

The numbers most people are chasing

12 points

NatHERS assessors. In each year of accreditation, at least 6 of them technical. Same minimum through ABSA, DMN and HERA.

20 hours

Architects. A year, at least 10 of them formal, in seven of the eight states and territories. The CPD year isn’t the same everywhere.

It depends

Building designers. Tasmania, NSW, BDAA and BDQ all set different rules, and Victoria has none yet. The guide shows which one applies to you.

Correct as at September 2026. Every figure comes from the regulator, registration board, NatHERS administrator, legislation or professional body that sets it. Rules change, so always confirm with your registration body.
